Affiliate disclosure

Short version: some outbound links earn us a commission. It does not change the numbers we publish, and we tell you when the honest answer is "do not buy this".

How it works

• Some links to tools and services are affiliate links. If you buy through one, the vendor pays us a commission. You pay the same price either way.
• Affiliate links are marked up with rel="sponsored" and open in a new tab.
• We do not run third-party ad networks, and we do not sell rankings or placements.

Programs we participate in

We participate in affiliate programs for gaming network tools. Where a program restricts how it may be promoted — no brand bidding in paid search, no coupon aggregation, no pop-ups — we follow those rules, and we do not run paid search at all.

What a commission cannot buy

• A better rating. Products we have not tested are not rated.
• Removal of a criticism, a limitation or a "do not buy" verdict.
• A place in a comparison where the product does not belong.

Vendor creatives

Banner creatives are supplied by the vendor through the affiliate network and are hosted by us. Creatives that state numbers or absolute results carry a visible "vendor claim" label, because those numbers come from the vendor, not from our tests. Our own measurements follow the published method.

Discounts and codes

If we publish a discount code, it is a code issued to us by the vendor. We do not aggregate codes from other sites, and we do not publish codes we cannot verify. Our test itself is free and needs no code.
